This week, we launched our first annual Perennial Campaign! This campaign is designed to engage our families and other donors in continuing to take ownership of our vibrant school community. We ask all our families to commit to supporting Trillium throughout the school year by making a pledge to the Trillium Fund.




These donations enrich non-tuition programming, including field trips that spark curiosity, guest speakers that inspire student interests, retreats that build community, theatrical performances that celebrate creativity, and materials for passion projects.

High School classes will be using a centralized homework tracker that allows teachers to post assignments and due dates for all students and parents to view in a single, accessible location. Post Secondary Planning with Mike Haykin




Our Dean of High School Students, Gen Norwood, is partnering with Mike Haykin, our student support consultant, to offer information sessions on planning for post-graduation. These gatherings will be both in person and online (Google Meet link in calendar events linked below), and will start with half an hour of social time before the program at 7 pm. Planning a February Break Trip with Global Family Travels




In the 2023-2024 school year, four families (at least one parent and one student) went to Costa Rica with [Global Family Travels](https://ysm8sxhbb.cc.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=0011jqwCi14R2HYluKhdeovQcNBOIERCgiWZZaV3_S0Jp9_13wKbttViJ6r4h2LKfQoEGFofleJ1rupvUqQFclfGKGpojhvLdY6mwS89VVZpWpnHeyKrtGR3d2HM3EA50k9vEd_yxVXR5wBhp_IUalkD-dgdQ_y3qDPKgmy3Jaztg4=&c=iYBkeCAzpuoDY6tPrJqr0DOeIFxXFOLb5bbIlxrNNSmS79oJNkLYEQ==&ch=J5FEM_zdPSqG_g9zbVuKmVuDmQVWrVvE4GgDOdKcFu9p6pDIZWlCjA==) (GFT). If anyone is interested in working with GFT to plan an optional Mid-Winter Break trip to Costa Rica or Mexico for students in grades 8-12 and their families, please contact Angela Chabot at [akchabot@gmail.com](mailto:akchabot@gmail.com). Trips will start to book up, so planning for a potential trip in February needs to start soon!




GFT makes planning group trips easy, with neurodivergent friendly itineraries (activities, hotels, and transportation). On the 2024 trip, Trillium families had a blast exploring Costa Rica with a driver and tour guide. In addition to rainforest exploration, a chocolate tour, horseback riding, and zip lining, the group did some light community service: sorting plastic caps for recycling into beach walkways for disabled people, planting trees, and helping at a sea turtle conservation beach project.

A New Parent Education Offering: Accompanied for Caregivers




We are excited to share a partnership with [Accompanied for Caregivers (AFC)](https://ysm8sxhbb.cc.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=0011jqwCi14R2HYluKhdeovQcNBOIERCgiWZZaV3_S0Jp9_13wKbttViEpePO1Qcu-hdEH8tKu_yl2x6pW1ao6AIVjGIahB5f2bSG1cEr6ivlmvQOi7fPubNDPytdEDsGtj2OBpmmEp8vLlZ8jmTkmwVMIglnS67GQMFotyUyxejyUs-QxbAsDgBMWY5eDirb8Q&c=iYBkeCAzpuoDY6tPrJqr0DOeIFxXFOLb5bbIlxrNNSmS79oJNkLYEQ==&ch=J5FEM_zdPSqG_g9zbVuKmVuDmQVWrVvE4GgDOdKcFu9p6pDIZWlCjA==) to offer a comprehensive parent education program free of charge to the Trillium community. AFC is a year-long, every-other-week program grounded in science, compassion, and community. Unlike traditional parenting programs that rely on rigid rules about “good parenting,” AFC offers evidence-based tools and techniques to help you deepen your relationship with your child(ren).




Classes are offered every other Tuesday, beginning October 21, with two time options: 9 am and 6:30 pm via Zoom. Each session runs 1.5 hours and includes a live talk by Dr. Moore and 50–60 minutes of small-group learning and discussion. Spots are limited to 20 people, and we ask that participants commit to the full program.
