In lieu of third-quarter progress reports, we will hold parent partnership meetings for teachers to share artifacts of student work and discuss academic progress. After-School Pick Up




We want to ensure school pick up is safe for all our students and staffulty.




If you park on the opposite (south) side of the street, please go to the intersection of Jackson & MLK and cross at the crosswalk, with the light only. If you have a middle schooler who needs assistance crossing the street at the crosswalk, please have them wait for you in front of the school while you use the model using the crosswalk to retreive your student, or communicate the need to a staff member so we can have a staffulty member cross the street with them. We'll soon have crossing flags to make students and adults crossing more visible and increase safety.




On the school-side of Jackson, please move up towards MLK when cars in front of you leave the loading curb to help with the flow of traffic both in the pickup line and on the street.

This is an unhosted event, so families can choose how to engage in this weekend in a way that best meets their needs. If you aren’t able to join us for the full weekend or can’t stay overnight, the bulk of the activities will happen on Saturday, so we hope you'll come for part of the weekend. We will have a menu of options for people to choose from, including a hike, exploring charming Blaine, group lunch, and s’mores on the beach if the weather cooperates.

Our students have loved the recent addition of a walking pad in the gym, and we're hoping to get a few more for the gym and other spaces. Walking helps students regulate through movement. New Flex Day Offering




Stick Fighting & Stage Combat (offered Wednesdays during period 2)
This dynamic course introduces students to the fundamentals of safe and expressive play stick fighting, blending physical movement, creativity, and basic stage combat techniques. Students will learn how to safely choreograph and perform stylized stick fights for performance. Emphasis is placed on control, timing, partner trust, and storytelling through movement. Throughout the class, students will practice foundational stick-fighting patterns, footwork, and partner drills while learning how stage combat techniques create the illusion of conflict without real contact. Students will also explore character, emotion, and dramatic intention to bring their fight scenes to life. Collaboration, safety, and respect for partners are core expectations in every activity. By the end of the course, students will have the opportunity to choreograph and perform short staged combat sequences that demonstrate creativity, physical awareness, and theatrical storytelling.

Chess Club with Coach Leo continues this spring! This is an opportunity for students to learn about the game while developing skills and strategies, and connect with their peers. Chess Club is open to students in grades 5-12 from other area schools.

Tech use is a common concern for our parents, and we are offering a new parent education and connection series in partnership with Daniel Oglivie, our part-time counselor who specializes in video gaming addiction. The first few sessions will include presentations on screen compulsion, tech use disorder vs. addiction, and Trillium's approach to mitigating tech issues. Later sessions will evolve based on the group's interests and needs, focused on collaborative discussion.
