Parent Ed Series: Tech and 2e Kids
Wednesday, February 11, 8:15 to 9:15 am in the Parent Gathering Room and [on Zoom](https://ysm8sxhbb.cc.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001c9QiyYxJtI4mFE9khubUqVXBiM8DYUTncjEsON7Id7Be0hCin0t4vOakvMR-r5OZqBdyr6-6LL4mSMKEpUOtQGE8229K-R-jYgZaIhFMrJZHlj5jAjyhmGCU3rOR_mYU9o9WTAJLS_L1SD3gyuetHQHIrCiM9v5Q5sWyNSds24Y=&c=yxiRa_lPRy-8M7vHDHIoMYDNxs8DqsTmd3Vht5O9QdVwje_yt3HIng==&ch=dJ3hzWj6UGowLYAJV4ZbEDeN_M7D23MvDxQ0PFCFsOHARoqmVl59KA==)
Tech use is a common concern for our parents, and we are offering a new parent education and connection series in partnership with Daniel Oglivie, our part-time counselor who specializes in video gaming addiction. The first few sessions will include presentations on screen compulsion, tech use disorder vs. addiction, and Trillium's approach to mitigating tech issues. Later sessions will evolve based on the group's interests and needs, focused on collaborative discussion.
We understand that mornings can be difficult for some parents, and we chose this time based on Daniel's part-time schedule with Trillium. There will be a remote option available for parents who cannot join in person (or who need to review the meeting notes and slide decks at a later date). If you will utilize this remote option and would like to connect with other parents, email [student.support@trilliumacademy.org](mailto:student.support@trilliumacademy.org), and we will work to connect you.
Congratulations to Liam!
Our high school student, Liam Gladun, attended the Washington Thespys, a performing arts competition, and placed on the state honoree list with an excellent score. Congrats to Liam!
Trillium Academy is turning two!
On Saturday, February 14, 2026, Trillium Academy will celebrate our second anniversary! We are planning a celebration to mark this special occasion with outreach to our neighbors in the Central District, spreading the word about our school through our parent community, and building community and school spirit through new traditions. We'll share more details next week about how you can participate and what the celebration will look like for our students. 💜💚💛
