Our Long-Term Home

February 5, 2026

We are thrilled to announce that Trillium has signed a 10-year lease, with an option for an additional 5 years, at a beautiful new campus, which will begin in summer 2028. As part of our long-term planning, securing a permanent home has been a top priority. While we’ll remain at our current location for the next three school years, this transition ensures continuity and stability for our students.

Our New Campus

We’ll be moving into the current Spruce Street School campus, located at 914 Virginia Street, once they relocate to their new home in Capitol Hill. Spruce Street reached out to us directly, drawn to our mission and the role Trillium plays in Seattle’s independent school landscape. As a valued part of the neighborhood for over 20 years, Spruce Street and their landlord were eager to see the space remain an educational home and are excited to see Trillium continue that legacy.

The campus was thoughtfully designed and has been lovingly maintained, featuring amenities such as a rooftop playground and nearby parks that have been well-utilized by its students. Its central downtown location also brings us closer to the businesses, organizations, and internship opportunities that enrich programming for our older students.

The Next Three Years

Our current school year and programming will continue as planned at the Jackson Street campus. In the meantime, we’ll make thoughtful and strategic improvements to our existing space to support our ongoing growth. While the new campus will enhance our offerings, Trillium’s mission and educational approach remain unchanged.

Serendipitous Timing

The timing of this opportunity allows us to bypass what we anticipated would be a lengthy and expensive process of either negotiating a build-out of our current location or finding and redesigning a new commercial site. It’s another instance of the serendipity that has shaped Trillium’s journey from the beginning.

As the move gets closer we'll share more information, including transportation, logistics, and next steps. Our architectural partners at Mahlum will also schedule stakeholder engagement sessions to gather input from students, families, and staffulty. Your voices will be central as we shape this space into a home for Trillium.

While we’ve had time to reflect on this exciting opportunity, we know change can be challenging. Still, this move represents the long-term stability and growth we’ve all been working toward. We can’t wait to dream, plan, and build this next chapter together.
