Middle School Explorations is a rotating, low-stakes block to engage curiosity and creativity. This time develops students’ confidence, initiative, and social skills in a relaxed and creative environment. Students may shift focus each semester as they explore emerging interests, and our staffulty remain flexible to offer new opportunities for students who aren’t able to engage elsewhere. This year, a science teacher offered an independent study time with a student, and together they designed this nuclear decay simulator.
